The “Terminator” franchise proposes a future in which humans are fighting against Sky Lab, an Artificial Intelligence. At least that’s what the humans think they are fighting. An alternative way to think about this future, is that there is no Artificial Intelligence. Instead, the elites have separated themselves from the proletariat and have begun a genocidal war against them using killer drones. Which future is more likely? A menacing singularity or a group of resistance fighters being hunted down by drones from an unknown enemy? I imagine that it must feel a lot like the latter in Afghanistan. Polls show that 92% of Afghans have never heard of 9/11. They are presently fighting a war with no history, and no future.

Wow. Just wow.

Really great blog, glad I followed over to have a root around.

» Ukraine: The fascist coup government's first order of business

fuckyeahmarxismleninism:

On 23 February, the coup government in the Ukrainian parliament voted through the following bills:

4201 – Bill to ban Ukrainian Communist Party activity.
4217 – Bill to redress antecedents of the Soviet occupation of Ukraine.
4176 – Bill to repeal law penalizing Nazi propaganda.
4184 – Bill to place V. Avakov as minister of the interior and members of “Right Sector” party on ministry staff (Avakov also belongs to the party which many consider fascist).
4215 – Bill to establish a “Pantheon of national heroes.”
4203 - Bill to curb state spending.
4197 – Bill to place “Svoboda” party member Α.Mahnitskogo as Prosecutor General.
4204 – Bill delineating the duties of the President of the Uraine.
4191 – Bill to place “UDAR” party member V.A. Nalivaychenko as overseer of Ukrainian Security Agencies
4211 – Bill to fire incumbent officers and personnel of security forces and replace them with new personnel (the latter are believed to be members of extreme right wing groups).
4199- Bill to repeal the use of their native language by Minorities , which refers to Russian, Romanian, Hungarian, and Greek.

LOOK AT THE SOURCE. THE RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY. WHY ARE PEOPLE TAKING THIS PROPAGANDA AS GOSPEL.

you would be right, sorry i was on mobile and didn’t get a close enough look. the only other corroboration of the bills so far is russia today.

i don’t know maybe because i’ve heard of most of the important things (banning of minority languages, banning of communist party) from other sources and i don’t exactly think that the russians would be taking a “look at how oppressively right wing these guys are” line if they were writing bullshit propaganda

so not only do i not have any reason to suspect a leftist bent in russian propaganda but also what makes you think the russians are more biased than anyone else reporting on ukraine? i trust them to be more objective than any american news at least

points on independent corroboration aside russia is literally militarily occupying entire regions of ukraine right now you cannot be serious

i’m not trying to phrase it as if the russians are somehow objective in this but i’m making the point that it isn’t any more ‘propaganda’ than western reporting on the topic, seeing as the west kind of engineered the whole “fascist takeover” thing which to me is an equal expression of imperialist intention

i don’t object to saying the russians have immense bias but i object to anyone crying about it because they favor the western line. i see it as a matter strictly of “whose propaganda would you rather listen to”

It’s fun when chauvinists equivocate their global empire’s ultra-destructive role in the world with a small regional rival. good shit
